Number SEVENTEEN: It’s okay to cry. I am not a very emotional person, and I don’t cry often, but sometimes you need to just cry. It doesn’t make you appear weak to cry, it just means you’re vulnerable, and human. Don’t be afraid, there will be someone in your life to comfort you when you need that shoulder to cry on.
Number EIGHTEEN: Charleston is the best place to live in the world. Come visit, you’ll see.
Number NINETEEN: Don’t chase people. Be an example. Attract them. Work hard and be yourself. The people who belong in your life will come find you and stay. Do your thing.
Number TWENTY: Take chances. I’m not saying be stupid, but don’t be afraid to do something totally irrational and crazy. You never know what you’re missing until you try it.
Number TWENTY-ONE: Do yoga. It improves your flexibility, your mental clarity, and your physiological functioning. Inhale positivity and exhale negativity.
Number TWENTY-TWO: Get lost in music. Lately I’ve gotten into music more and more, and I’ve actually learned a lot about myself. It’s easy to get lost in my own thoughts, which often times makes me depressed or frustrated, but music drowns out all that. Music provides a place where your mind can rest in the lyrics of someone else’s thoughts; a place where rhythm can carry your heart and mind to new levels. Take what the song gives you and just get lost.
Number TWENTY-THREE: Manage your finances. Be a responsible adult. Not much more to it than that.
Number TWENTY-FOUR: ALWAYS cherish the time you have with family and friends. Life is too short to take for granted the time you get to spend with people you care about and love. Be thankful for any amount of time, because you never know when your time is going to run up.
stay beautiful! xoxo
