Train Hard.

Well, well, well… Things certainly have changed within the last several days, and if I do say so myself, they have changed for the better!

I have recently made the decision to enter a figure modeling competition on June 16, 2012 in Spartanburg, SC. I am so excited that I made this decision and am going to be 100% dedicated to everything it takes for me to essentially do well at the competition. Since I have been doing some strength training for the past several months, I feel that I have enough muscle where I can cut all the fat on my body, and really have defined muscles to win this competition, or at least place! It will definitely be a challenging 8 weeks from now until the competition, because I will be doing a lot of circuit workouts, a lot of cardio, and cutting a lot of foods out of my diet, including: peanut butter, fruit, all grains, alcohol, and basically any processed foods. I am SO READY to take on this challenge though!

I decided to come home yesterday, just spur of the moment. We have my niece this weekend at my house and my brother came home last night, so I should be able to get some good family time in, and it’s my brother’s 26th birthday on Sunday!

This morning I was able to sleep until 845 AM, which was glorious. I had only gotten about 5-6 hours of sleep the previous two nights, due to birthday parties and poverty parties, so my body really needed the rest! Once I got up, I chugged a big glass of water and headed to the gym to get a quick, quality workout in.

After a 10 minute bike ride to warm up, I completed 3 rounds of a full body circuit workout, where I worked for 1 minute and rested for 15 seconds in between 10 different exercises. I cooled down with another 10 minute bike ride, and headed home; a sweaty mess! I grabbed my dog, and went on a leisurely 15 minute walk around my neighborhood.

My stomach was growling at me at this point so I blended up a quick shake with 1 c. of original almond milk, 2 scoops of vi-shake nutritional shake mix, and 1 T of SF FF chocolate jello mix. I heated up some leftover coffee, and enjoyed my brunch on the porch.

I am now currently studying for finals coming up, and am trying to get it done for the day, so I can get some good QT in!
