WIAW FIRST EVER

Happy hump day everyone 🙂

Thanks to Jen over at Peas & Crayons I can participate in my first ever What I Ate Wednesday!

So, today is a special day, not only because I am participating in my first WIAW, but because I am crossing a 2012 goal off of my goals list. I will go over all of my goals sometime later, but for now I can tell you that starting a healthy living blog was one of my main goals, and I can finally say I’ve done it. I do not know where it is going to take me, or even if I will ever get any readers, but for now I am going to do it to keep track of my crazy life as I start new chapters and close old ones.

Pre-workout:

Since I have been getting up at 5 AM every morning to make it to either spin class or bodypump (loving the gym classes right now!) I have been having something real quick as I walk out the door.

Breakfast/Post Workout:

Since I’m eating a substantial amount before my workouts, I am not getting hungry til a couple of hours later. So around 9 AM I have been making amazing Vi-shake shakes. These keep me full and satisfied. I never feel bloated or unsatisfied after one of these bad boys!

Pina Colada Shake- banana, pineapple, almond milk, shake mix, and a few ice cubes!

In the shake I have been putting a frozen banana or mangos, blueberries, cherries, one cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 scoops of vi-shake nutritional shake mix, pinch of xanthan gum, and a few ice cubes. You guys should really check out the 90 day challenge I am on. I am almost done with my first and I am so excited to start my next! The shakes are awesome!

Lunch:

Around 2 or 3 PM is when I have been having lunch. I know it’s late, but that’s when my body starts to get hungry! Lately I have been on a salad craze! I think the mix of the romaine and feta, along with some veggies and meat (smart ground, chicken, or tuna) makes me crave it! It keeps me pretty full, but around 5 PM is when i start to get hungry again!

Snack:

I have been trying to eat something really light around this time, so I’ve been having a braeburn apple or some almond with raisins. Either snack holds me over til dinnah!!

Dinner:

This has been being a repeat of my shake for breakfast!

For now I am trying to cut down on my night-time snacking. I have gotten into a bad habit of this, so I am going to challenge myself to stop after dinner. It is a bad habit in my opinion!

So there you have it. My first ever WIAW. I cannot wait to participate next week!

Now I am off to shower because I went to bodypump this morning then took Leo on a 20 minute walk! I have a test at 9 AM then a couple of meetings and class. I hope ya’ll have a fabulous day!
