Take over Tuesday

This morning’s wake-up call was rough when my 5 a.m. alarm went off, but I managed to drag myself out of bed so I could hit the gym. I started my day off with a very sweaty spin class. It got my heart rate up and my quads were on fire. Love getting a good sweat in the morning (before the sunrise).

Pre-workout fuel

After spin, I came back and took my friend Travis’ dog, Leo, on a leisurely 20 minute walk. After I showered and what-not, coffee was made, notes were studied, and e-mails were checked. I started to get a little hungry, so I made a yummy protein shake.

            In the shake:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup almond coconut milk
  • 2 scoops of Visalus Sciences vi-shape nutritional shake mix (CHECK IT OUT HERE)
  • pinch of xanthan gum
  • 4 ice cubes

After a productive morning I headed on campus for some meetings and re-testing.

I have thus been relaxing by the pool and laying on the couch… Going to study a little and hit the bed early for an early morning workout!
